Interface decisions
Fine needles traverse the coffee bed before tamping, targeting visible clumps and localized density pockets.
An exposed gear train turns distribution into a deliberate, repeatable physical pass rather than a loose manual rake.
Triangular supports steady the apparatus above the basket while leaving the preparation step visible.
Brew rationale
Break clumps before the water finds a path.
WDT uses fine needles to separate clumped grounds and distribute them through the basket before tamping. A more even coffee bed can reduce obvious low-resistance channels, supporting steadier and more repeatable flow.
This apparatus supports puck preparation; it does not guarantee a better shot. Grinder output, dose, basket, needle path, tamp, and recipe still determine the result.
